Statement of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought
Following the Martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution
The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has issued a statement expressing its condolences on the martyrdom of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, following the brutal attack by the illegitimate Zionist regime and criminal America.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Forum, the text of the statement is as follows:
“And do not think of those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.” (Qur’an 3:169)
The news of the martyrdom of the striving jurist, the eminent Marjaʿ of the Shi‘a world, and the wise Leader of the Islamic Revolution, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei (may his noble soul be sanctified), has plunged the hearts of Muslims worldwide—especially the united nation of Islamic Iran—into profound and unending grief. This tragic loss is a deep wound upon the body of the Islamic Ummah, one that shall not be healed except through patient perseverance and steadfast continuation of the luminous path of that great departed leader.
This heartbreaking calamity has cast the entire Islamic world, distinguished scholars, fighters in the path of truth, and all free people across the globe into immense mourning. That wise and visionary leader was the true heir to the school of religious governance founded upon divine values in Islamic Iran. The vision of proximity among Islamic schools of thought and the noble ideal of a single, united Islamic Ummah stand among the enduring blessings of his unparalleled leadership in the post-Revolution era.
That righteous successor to Ruhollah, who for more than three decades bore the banner of Islamic awakening and safeguarded the ideals of the Revolution with sagacity and resolve, opened a new chapter in the realm of religious governance. With exemplary courage, prudence, and virtue, he deepened the concepts of guardianship, dignity, and unity of the Islamic Ummah throughout the Muslim world.
Undoubtedly, the name of that Imam of the oppressed and exemplar of sacrifice, resistance, and steadfastness shall remain eternal in the memory of Islamic history, alongside the blessed name of Ruhollah Khomeini.
We extend our heartfelt condolences on this martyrdom—an evident testimony to the righteousness of his path—to the Imam of the Age (may Allah hasten his reappearance), to the noble people of Iran, to Muslims across the globe, to all free and justice-seeking individuals, and especially to the esteemed scholars, advocates of proximity, and callers to Islamic unity.
It is expected that all devoted followers and admirers of the late Leader, wherever they may reside, will maintain composure and vigilance, and remain steadfast in promoting the ideals of proximity, unity, and Islamic resistance. They are urged to strengthen the anti-Zionist spirit, reinforce the Resistance Front, organize commemorative ceremonies and awareness-raising gatherings, and actively articulate the positions of religious scholars, thinkers, and free people of the world with due diligence and commitment.
